Greenwich is of course the home of time, where we start to keep track of the time of day around the world across oceans and seas. It is a little bit ironic then, that if you are planning a move in this area, you will have come to notice that time is exactly the problem. It is always slipping through your hands. It is hard enough to find enough hours in the day for a normal life of work and kids, without having to then find a little bit extra to cover packing, planning, boxing and fretting. Whether you have moved a hundred times before or this is first, it doesn’t seem to get any easier and the stress builds up and up.
There is a reason that it doesn’t get easier by the way. Top sports coaches reckon you need to have done something about 10,000 times before it can become a natural action and even the most nomadic of London residents will struggle to match that. What you need therefore, it a removal company who will step up, because they all know the pitfalls and difficulties you are going through, they have been there and done it, but it’s Man and Van who have used that knowledge to create a service which is a bespoke and unique as each and every move we handle.
We conduct an assessment of each and every client’s property, planning thoroughly and helping you to know how to pack fiddlier items. Not only that, it saves you money because you know you won’t be paying for men and equipment you don’t need on the day. If you feel that time is running out, we can send people round to help you pack and will even help you unpack when you are setting up in your new home. It’s a complete service, so get in touch today on 020 8811 8922 to enjoy something a little bit different today.
Greenwich is of course known around the world as a result of the maritime history of this district, which Greenwich Mean Time and the Greenwich Meridian something which people are aware of in almost every country. Here is evidence of settlement here from as early as Saxon times, with 6th century barrow remains found here. It was well populated in Roman times, and the small, railed area between Vanbugh and Maze Hill Gates shows the site where a large collection of coins were found in 2000 by the Time Team crew from the Channel 4 programme.
There was a palace here from before 1300 and the Tudors were based here. Henry VIII in particular loved this part of London and spent much of his time expanding the palace before James I of the Stuart family became the final monarch to remodel the palace in their own style. There remain a number of maritime sites and green parks which continue to recall the days when Greenwich was very much the beating the heart of the captial.
