Tips that Make Packing Enjoyable and Hassle-free

It's a known fact that moving to a new place, whether it's across the city or the state, is daunting. However, that stress can be alleviated if you know how to properly pack for the big day. These basic guidelines in packing will surely make the relocation to a new home a lot more fun and memorable (in a good way).
Sort Out Stuff
You can't bring all your belongings to your new home. You need to throw away all the stuff that you don't need so you can minimize the items you need to pack and have more room in your new home. Holding a garage sale may help you raise some cash for the costly moving as well.
Don't put off the packing task as there are tons of things you need to organize to make sure that you don't forget anything. This may include important documents, tiny items or fragile stuff that needs extra care and attention.
Pack by Room
Start with the basement and attic as this is the place where you store seasonal items. You can start packing these rooms as early as you want without worrying about needing to open a box in the near future.
Pack Fragile Items Separately
You will need plenty of cushion and bubble wrap for these stuff. Do not write ‘fragile' on every box if it is not necessary. Sturdy items such as books and furniture are not breakable.
Ask for Help
Doing everything on your own may cause some strains and muscle injuries. Call some relatives or friends for an extra hand. This can also be a great opportunity to bond with them before you move out of the neighborhood.
